Our Family went on a shopping spree to Bangkok, in March 1999, to buy things for the wedding of our eldest daughter. During one of our visits to a crowded bazaar, my wife's handbag was ripped open and our valuables were stolen. This incident and several other experiences of our friends and associates with pickpockets made me determined enough to start thinking for a practical solution.

This nagging thought helped me come up with a simple solution for which I got a patent this year.

It is based on a very simple home truth,
"If you can't touch it,
You can't snatch it".

I immediately knew the potential and was sure that within a short period of time, the Flap and the Web would be a standard attachment in pockets and handbags.

However I was determined to see that this useful device is immediately brought to the notice of the general public as 'pick pocketing' is a menace that affects everyone, the rich and the poor, even in places of worship, international airports, exhibition sites, etc., etc.

My humble opinion was to host the information on the Internet so that everybody had access to it. I also thought that there could be thousands of remedies for every day situations, which are simple and effective. This prompted me with the name.
